Aruha Meditation – Stage 4
Letting Go of the Self

Stage 4 of Aruha Meditation is the final practice of letting go of the self. Everything exists because "I" exists. When the self disappears, the universe that belongs to the self disappears as well.

If you have sincerely completed Stage 3, you already understand why this practice exists. The essence of Stage 4 is not simply letting go of yourself, but clearly realizing why you are willing to let go. Only then can genuine letting go occur, and only through that sincerity can what is real reveal itself.

■ Practice

You may keep your eyes open or closed. What matters is experiencing every step as though it were completely real.

Choose whatever tool feels most natural to you. Examples: Black Hole, Fire, Light, Dissolving, or any other method that genuinely helps you let go.

① In Your Current Environment

Order Practice
① Front Place your chosen tool in front of yourself. Walk into it. Continue until the sense of yourself completely disappears.
② Behind Repeat the same process behind you.
③ Right Repeat the same process on your right side.
④ Left Repeat the same process on your left side.
⑤ Simultaneously Place your chosen tool in front, behind, to the right, and to the left at the same time.

Pause briefly. Recognize that the person standing in the center is all versions of yourself throughout countless lifetimes, your present self, and every future self yet to live.

Then, walk into the center of the tools. Continue until the sense of yourself completely disappears.

② In the Universe

Now imagine yourself in infinite space. For this stage, use a Black Hole as your tool.

Order Practice
① Front Repeat the same process using a Black Hole in front of you.
② Behind Repeat the same process.
③ Right Repeat the same process.
④ Left Repeat the same process.
⑤ Simultaneously Place Black Holes in front, behind, to the right, and to the left at the same time.

Pause briefly. Recognize all versions of yourself— past, present, and future.

Then, walk into the center. Continue until the sense of yourself completely disappears.

※ Continue each step until the sense of yourself has completely disappeared. Treat every experience as though it were real.

Stage 4 is not about repetition. It is about directly recognizing that the self has disappeared.

If you sincerely believe you have reached that point,

please continue to the Stage 4 Self-Assessment page and evaluate your own practice before moving forward.
